July 1 Hong Kong firework display is held every year to celebrate Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day. That’s why the firework show is also known as HKSAR Day Fireworks.

To celebrate Hong Kong Handover 20th Anniversary, multimedia components like music, LED screens and beam lights will be used in the event. The show will display the words “China” and “Hong Kong”. It is the most expensive firework display since 1997, which costs HK$12 million (~US$ 1.5 million).
