3              Watch Movies

It’s a tradition for me and my loved ones to watch movies on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. I have forgotten when I started this habit. Maybe when I was still a kid, I watched Christmas movies at home with my family. Later when I grew up, I went to cinemas with my friends… Anyway, no matter you want to watch romance comedy or science fiction at home or in cinemas, here are some ideas for you: Christmas movies and a list of shopping malls with cinemas.

4              Church services

Going to a Midnight Mass Church Service is one of the Christmas Eve traditions. You may also go to churches on New Year’s Eve. There are church services in Hong Kong which are held in English, e.g. St John’s Cathedral in Central, Hong Kong and St Andrew’s Church in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

5              Dinner, Bar and Party

For me, I used to have a buffet dinner with my loved ones on New Year’s Eve Hong Kong or Christmas Eve Hong Kong. For many reasons, we now prefer to celebrate Christmas at home. If that’s too boring for you, check out the Hong Kong Christmas Eve and Hong Kong New Year’s Eve party places in Hong Kong.
